HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY

This was a competition set by G.F Smith to create a new and innovative range of cards. I created a 'Happy Belated Birthday' card range which points the blame of the sender being late or not attending the receiver's birthday, on anyone but the themselves.

There were two types of cards. Each were photography based, some including type on the cover and others without. This allowed the sender to write their own excuse. Each card also included 'Hope you had a Happy Birthday!' inside the card. Additionally, the typography used for each card is based on the idea that the sender is rushing to post the card, hence the scribbled typeface.

An app was also designed to accompany the cards. The app allowed its user to set birthday reminders and countdowns as well as the nearest stores to rush to and buy the cards.

In addition to birthdays, other occasions could be highlighted with the cards such as Easter and Christmas.
